Nanaimo BC is one of the newest destinations recently added to the WestJet route structure. Nanaimo is located on the southeastern region of Vancouver Island, northeast of Victoria. Passengers arrive at the regional airport (YCD) located 8 miles southeast of the city.
Direct, non stop flights are operated by West Jet Encore from Calgary. Encore operates the Q400 Turbo Prop service.
Two other airlines operate scheduled service to Nanaimo. Air Canada Jazz offers direct flights to Vancouver and Island Express Air operates flights to Abbotsford, Tofino, Victoria and Vancouver.
